Firstly, if you're going to compare it to Leslie Nielsen's Naked Gun, you're setting the movie up for immediate failure and you'll be disappointed. Judge the film on its own merit and you'll be pleasantly surprised. It's 102 here in NoCal, so lunch and a movie theater is perfect. Seth McFarland's fingerprints are all over this with plenty of visual jokes and pop culture references. Do all of the jokes land? Not in a fall down uncontrollable laughter, but you'll chuckle at most of them and belly laugh at a few. I didnt necessarily judge it by my laughter, but by the audience reaction. And it was favorable. The lady next to me was straight belly laughing. The movie was a solid 4/5, but in a time when the only thing we see in public forums is fighting and discord, seeing a room full of strangers laughing together was not just refreshing but kind of heart warming.

Im not a film aficionado. Im a fan of movies. Im not here to talk cinematography or lighting. Im here to tell you if a movie is any good. And Superman is good, not great. It's comic bookish and light. Reeve will always be my Superman, not because of his portrayl of Superman. But more its his portrayal of Clark.Nobody dud it better. I found Routh's adaptation to be a good 2nd. Superman 2025 is just good old fashion summer tent pole movie making. Great CGI, good storytelling and fun. Surprisingly, the hero is the standout character. I found this version of Lex well acted by Hoult. But oh my, he does love speeches( thank you Susan Sarandon, Bull Durham) It does its job setting up a bigger universe, even sneaking in a Gotham City easter egg. All in all, its good summer fun with a mid credit scene and a post credit scene..both complete throwaway with no future implications

You can read all of the descriptions in other reviews. This Flanagan led Stephen King adaptation is just an attack on your emotions. It's a terrifying, mysterious first act. The second act, though at times tragic is uplifting and left me spiritually satiated. The final act had me in full blown tears. I watched it back to fit all of the puzzle pieces into place It's a wonderful film experience.

I can't speak to what Blumhouse was trying to do here. But for all its faults, its not the worst thing Ill see this year. Megan was an AI horror flick and a very effective one. Megan 2.0 steers away from the horror genre and go head long into action/ camp/ thriller. And against my own resistance, Im here for it. Was it great? No. Was it fun? Actually yeah. Not 13.00 a ticket good. But VOD on a Friday night on the couch good.

It's my last day of summer break and I lost 90 minutes to this train wreck. It wasn't ironically funny. It wasn't yummy accidentally. The only thing more ridiculous in the action genre than seeing Rebel Wilson in a fight scene is seeing Steven Seagal running. I mean, she's not even believable in a choreographed fight. She's not fast, strong or agile. She's really funny, just not in this. It's a half star movie with not one laugh or even a smile

It's more like a 2.5. The premise was very promising, but the execution was uneven. The first two episodes were heart pounding. But that tension was just not sustainable. One subplot involved teen neighbors and their budding teen romance. As I look back at my 17th year, a make out sesh was just not on my mind if an alien assassin was running around using unsuspecting humans as hosts killing everybody. The primary subplot revolves around an extramarital affair and the mistrust it creates amongst the characters. It's this affair that is the catalyst for the paranoia and lack of trust the trapped characters feel. Episode 8 was actually really good. But a series that ends in a cliffhanger with no second season planned will leave you shaking your head. Believe me, if you give it a go, you'll be hooked. It's like a toxic new relationship. It'll love bomb you early and then let you down. But you'll stick around to see if it ever gets that good again. It tries, but its unsustainable.

My wife said," It's new and you didn't even wait for me!" I replied, " It's my job to protect you from danger." LeAnne Morgan may be the only bright spot in this mess. Do you remember the disastrous "Bride Wars?" This film aspires to be THAT good. The dim witted groom is the only character with any redeeming qualities and he's a male stripper. I had to be fair and admit I laughed like a half dozen times so I gave it 2 stars. If you have an hour and a half to give, put on this movie, paint your wall, then stare at the wall.

Carry On almost from the moment the antagonist contacts Ethan reminds me of Colin Farrell's "Phonebooth." But with Bateman as the voice on the other end, I'm intrigued. And it's a perfectly good "B" graded movie. The ending is predictable and the loose ends tie themselves up all too nicely. But with action movies, we watch to see if the cast gives us a good journey toward the predictable ending. And "Carry On" does so. Despite Egerton's lead, Bateman carries the film. He adds tension, and is a bit chilling in a Hans Gruberesque way, while still giving us that snarky sense of wit. The supporting cast is good if not fairly stereotypical; the gruff boss who love/hates the protagonist. The unlikeable co- worker. The cool "Argyle" character. The tough y ical, yey 'I have a hunch' type cop.It's all there. But there's no damsel here as Sophia Carson holds her own in this film. I couldn't end this review without mentioning her contribution as a co- protagonist. It's a fun film, carried by the villain like so many good action films.

Twisters is a summer blockbuster with no story at all. The special effects are great, the cast is young and good looking, but there is none of the grit or depth of the original. As a stand alone film it's actually better than okay, but as stand alone sequel to the original, it just does nothing for me. The ancillary characters are in no way developed, as opposed to the original, we really knew the entire team.The idea that Hunt, Paxson and company were developing an early detection system seemed plausible, as this team is shooting chemicals into a tornado to stop it is just ridiculous. I gave it 2 stars, but it's more 2.5 for action and special effects.

So problematic. Find a hunky 19 year old student, a beautiful, confused female teacher and let them engage in an illegal activity in which the adult is responsible for acting accordingly. Then, allow the unhinged student to begin committing illegal activities that justify the movie making said teacher the protagonist. Reverse the genders and is the teacher nothing more than a predator who deserves what he gets? Lopez's character is a felon who somehow gets the victim tag because the student is a maniac. So disgusting in every way.
