I related to this movie 13yr old me under a restrictive style of parenting. I watched it with my daughter this morning and I have had an open dialogue of what will happen to her body once puberty starts since she realized women menstruate at age 4. Part of me thinks people will view this as undermining them at parenting but you are a reactionary person if that's your takeaway and you didn't really watch. It tackles some heavy generational tramas in a different way than encanto. They are not the same movie and it seems people forget that. Anyways it's fun and silly if you are open and honest and discuss what you watch with your kids you should be fine.
