“The Nix” was wonderful to the very last page. One of the best books I read in 2019. A nix is a house spirit. But the book is about how we are haunted and sometimes defined by an unexplored past. Ultimately it is a hopeful book because it imagines the possibility for us to reset our lives and make new, different decisions that are not reactions to things but true actions in line with ones Self.
