“Never Flinch” it’s a good story that builds tension and has a solid, climatic ending. There are moments when it really shines, especially the way the police/fireman charity softball game unfolds. The slow reveal on who the chief antagonist really is was well crafted. I haven’t decided if the other “bad guy” is an antagonist-or the victim of an even more insidious manipulator yet. I suppose that’s another sign of good storytelling, in that the reader is led to deeper thoughts regarding cause, effect, and the ethics that flow in between.
