Okaaaaaaaaaay!!!😪 So I finally watched the long-talked-about… STRAW. It’s been a while the world went crazy and all psyched about a movie like this.... I'm not gonna lie. So I saw the movie, and I'm like, “No wonder.” You know it's not every day we get to see a good movie, especially in 2025.... Movie storylines have been so wack lately, almost as if they've run out of ideas. I mean.... I've seen a lot of movies like this. It's not really something new. E.g "Miracle in cell No.7" and others like that. NOW about the MOVIE.... This film, just like “Sinners”, wrapped all its climax and events in one crazy day! I mean.... you'd think Jinayah had been cursed ahead of that day.... ’cause what the hell! No human deserves to go through such trauma, not to talk of all happening in ONE DAY. Watching this movie, I finally realized why it went so viral. I mean..... the events portray something very relatable to many; it's something happening out there.... especially to the ordinary Black American. The pain of having no one who understands you, no one to share your pain with.... someone who'd appreciate your struggles, and no assistance.... Damn!! Jinayah's story shows how one tiny action could spring into big events.... Fr! If you follow the details of that story, she was already having a hard time when the cop pulled her up — “noticed how a threat can traumatize someone in pain and distress?” The lady just wanted her paycheck and ended up becoming a federal offender (felony)! I mean.... and you know what's funny? None of these events were planned for. Now the CHARACTERS.... I wonder why Teyana Taylor is being talked about so much when the real genius is Taraji P. I mean.... not to down-talk anyone, preferences differ, but.... the acting delivered by Taraji? She really ate the whole Jinayah character up! Made it look so real. Asides that.... every other person deserves an accolade.... Nicole's cast, all the cop members.... they all ate. Totally.... didn't see that ending coming, though! What a mind play. And I think we've all got that somebody like Tessa in our lives.... So watch out sis! If you’re yet to watch this film.... I'd say you go ahead. It's a good watch.😊 I'd give it a 9/10, too. ’Cause there are some parts I think shouldn’t have been left untouched.... Would have liked if they included her sentencing, and Tessa's act not taken as such a minor detail. Shout Out To TYLER PERRY!!! 👏👏
