Addicting game! It doesn’t provide tutorials on how the game mechanics work and this is frustrating, yes even for me, but I LOVE this game so much that I was determined to learn the game so I can enjoy it. It takes time to get used to, you’ll feel lost because you have no guidance on what you need to do but that’s literally the whole point of the game. You are literally figuring out the world just like the primeates you are controlling and it makes the game immersive this way. The point is to explore to learn skills, expand your clan so you can keep producing, and evolve so you can reach the end of the timeline of the game. You are left to figure this out on your own, the game itself even states this in the beginning. If you need objectives and need to be familiar with how the game works immediately or you don’t want to be bothered to learn it, this might not be the game for you. It’s got good graphics too! They’ve included so much details in the game. For example, a jaguar killed a warthog that I scared off and had left its carcass (I was there when the kill happened). At first, it was just the dead warthog lying there, after a few hours I noticed flies started to spawn around it and I couldn’t figure out why flies started spawning around it the carcass. Then I realized this detail was added BECAUSE of the carcass. It’s s detail that could’ve been skipped, but they took the time and expended labor to produce this minute detail. I really appreciate the tidbit of details, even if it serves my gameplay no purpose, because I see how much time and effort was put into creating and developing the game just to make it an immersive experience.
