Tatum Bourdages

This movie made me question romantic and loving relationships. If Emily loves Luke and wants to marry/commit to a life with Luke, why didn’t she have a conversation with him when the promotion was offered. Would communication resolved the issues that immediately arose? Emily, in my perspective broke the rules by not respecting her partner and discussing the ins and outs of what this promotion would mean. I feel many people often make life changing decisions without consulting their spouse, causing an array of emotional problems to arise. I mean if she did do this there would be no movie because Luke is acting out emotionally and is not in control of his feelings after being defeated by Emily. Maybe if Luke had preparation for what was to come he would have been genuinely happy for Emily and accepted his new role in their relationship.
