I love Dark Shadows....the 1966 series, that is! While some elements are the same in this movie, there are lots of things that do not stay true to the original! There are far too many differences to list on this review. As a stand-alone, it is decent. It's fun, quirky and gets a few laughs here and there. The problem was Dark Shadows was never that type of series and those of you expecting to watch this to bring back those wonderful memories of the past will be sadly disappointed. Again...it's OK. Nothing more, nothing less.
