I have read many good novels and have watched films with good plot and things, this film felt overrated for me
It was recommended by many and upon watching I would say it wasn't that great
In nutshell, the story is about two people who almost had a one night stand right after their graduation became friends.Well over the years the girl went from working in restaurant for part time to completing her degree and becoming a teacher to a writer to being dead cause she didn't check both sides which crossing the road with cycle.
Over the years the guy went from being tv host for weird shows to being retired from the show industry to being a divorcee with a kid because his wife cheated with him with his boss, well he was playboy so karma bite him back.
Well the girl and guy get together after the guy divorced but ofc the girl died so the guy spiralled into his ways of alochol, drugs, club and fights but finally redeemed himself and now works in a cafe
Well throughout all these years they stayed as friends and kept in contact.
I didn't the film to be deep, most times I always saw the guy and girl interacting in terms of sex level only, there was no proper conversations or bonding the reason I didn't find it emotional
Yes the film was somewhat realistic and different but I just felt huge lack of bond between main characters and overall overhyped
Emma would have done better instead of being dumb woman waiting for a playboy to finally realize she is the one for him
