this movie was not it. idk how to say it but it’s so fake deep. it wasn’t even particularly enjoyable or entertaining either.
Spoiler:
ATJ as a working class heroine is a poor choice. i don’t think she’s believable at all. and her asking for a cheeseburger made me burst out laughing like pleaseeee it’s not powerful. it almost felt like a meme. this just doesn’t feel like written by anybody who has actually experienced the horrors of working in the restaurant industry. if you found it enjoyable then good for you but it was a bad movie for me and not even entertainingly bad.
the only moment i liked was the rich rich old couple who can’t even recall any of the chef’s dishes…like that meant a lot to me. how they can consume without thought bc money is no object to them. but otherwise the movie said so little. ok rant over bye
