I’m not one to write reviews but this was one of the most ridiculous shows I’ve ever seen. I could not watch past episode 5 which was the worst one. **spoilers ahead** apparently John the human with no magical abilities could somehow alter the “great and powerful” Sandman’s magic ruby which then allowed him to control other humans and also the world? And by then using it to take away humans’ ability to lie, it randomly makes them all turn gay/bisexual and then kill each other and themselves. And the lady that still offers John a lift after he confesses he’s a murderer and kills a guy in front of her at the gas station? And my favourite, John’s mother that after keeping her son locked away for 30 years, thought it was a good idea to give him the protection amulet (which was keeping her alive, so she then dies) which allows him to escape and retrieve the Sandman’s ruby she had been keeping him away from all those years. It’s just so unbelievably stupid. The visuals and fantasy characters of the story are great but that is where it ends. The storyline, from what I watched, was unexciting and all over the place. I honestly don’t know how it has any good reviews.
