Good special effects. The aliens were very well constructed and animated. The alien spacecraft was a bit too reminiscent of Predator 2 or one of the other Predator films.
The plot is nothing new except for the time travel element.
The script is super cheesy and Chris Pratt couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. The rest of the cast is pretty mediocre. J K Simmons is a fine actor.
