I am the daughter of this author, so you can imagine that reading this book was a unique experience for me, providing a different perspective. It allowed me to see my own mom in a whole new light. As an adult, my perspective and reality have shifted, and being close to some of the people mentioned in the book has also influenced my understanding. However, I find it incredibly empowering to share one's story, especially as a young entrepreneur and woman navigating the challenges of this world. The author has played a significant role in shaping many of my life decisions, and I am grateful for that. While I don't think I could ever handle half of what the author has experienced, the title "Perfectly Imperfect" clearly signifies an incredible journey of removing masks and being honest about struggles in order to create a new reality. It's truly amazing to witness how she has become a business owner and found love again, demonstrating the power of choosing a new life despite the temptation to revert to old ways. Adversity can lead to growth and transformation. I am immensely proud and equally inspired to see her and my dad (second dad) working on this project together. I believe it serves as a source of healing and teaches other young women how to heal through the support of peers, friends, community, and loved ones.
