The whole thing was like an old detective comic book. The costumes, dialogue, picture composition, characters, lighting, they even made the speech not conform with the picture like in early television. I kept expecting to see a BOOM text. There was also a lot of stilted, comic book like talk.
It was a lot better after I realized the stylistic nature.
I think the stylization was very good. I’m not really interested in comic books, so, I found it tedious.
