Simply put, it’s the Wu tang album we needed and at the right time. Raw, gritty, not a moment wasted. 12 tracks of classic Wu tang style, that any true fan can get down with. Math perfectly shines as a student, creating a classic opus of beauty, thuggery, warnings, regrets, and gems. Every Wu member shines and respectfully know their place on the chess board and, without any doubt, shine. The featured cameos all fit in like old family.
This probably sounds like way too much gushing by life long fan, that’s been listening since the beginning.
But it’s not. Clocking in with 12 songs and at a playtime of 40 minutes, it is the shortest runtime of any “clan” album, beating out 2001’s Iron Flag ( 55 min / 12 songs). There isn’t a moment wasted. It’s one of the most concise Wu projects…ever.
40 minutes of satisfying, wanna be in the cypher, head nodding, learn the lyric, shaolin style. Wu Tang is forever..
