Nesa “Blackinese” Young

The lake house is beautiful & poetic. Acting was believable & thorough however.. as much as i enjoyed the movie, it was very complicated. The audience was just left to fill in the blanks about what was actually happening. The more I tried to make sense of it, the more confused I got.

Besides some of the beautiful sceneries, this is one of a few movies you won't miss out by not watching. There were many good opportunities to make this into a wholesome movies, but the pieces just never came together. Hillary is one of my favorite actresses but some of her scenes seemed so ingenuine. Gerard has charisma & sex appeal, but failed to portray that in his dancing scene which was quite unsexy to me. The movie was just corny, shallow & downright boring to me.

The acting was honest, up to the part where Lyric got shot & you would think realistically he would show some haste in getting her to the hospital, but I guess that would spoil the ending where we think she died, but actually survived. There were many beautiful background & the setting seemed a bit fairytale like but overall, very entertaining & touching at some point.
