My son was born preterm. Was in the NICU for about 3 months. After being release he suffered from Constipation for a little over a month then one day he started having diarrhea then vomiting. We were told to switch formulas. After going through 9 different formulas. When he was 10 months he was hospitalized doctors tried switching formulas and though it was a virus vomiting and diarrhea continued. Two weeks later a endoscopy and colonoscopy results revealed my son had no villi. He was not absorbing anything. Doctors then inserted a broviac. Doctors tested him for everything Davidson disease, IPEX/ IPEX LIKE, celiac disease, etc. genetic test were done. Geneticist could not find any mutation. We were transfer to Children’s hospital in LA and after 7 1/2 weeks doctors there could not find the cause of his illness. We were transfer back to Kaiser. He is now 29 months and we still have no diagnosis but his illness falls into the Category of autoimmune undiagnosed disorder. He is basically being treated as a cancer/ IPEX. I’m looking into contacting this show in hopes of getting a direct diagnosis and treatment.
