Love Neil Diamond and was lucky enough to have seen him live over 35 years ago. Saw the play last night and was disappointed. While I thought Will Swenson at times, could sound like Neil Diamond, his performance and expressions were so overly dramatic, they caused his vocals to sound unlike Neil Diamond. It felt like he was trying too hard. His 2nd wife, “Marsha” however, was incredible. I also wasn’t happy some songs were sung by, or shared with, other cast members. I honestly don’t know how anyone would see this a 2nd time.
