Every episode has new additions. Another secret. Another mystery. Another secret. Another lie. These writers only know three ways to progress the viewer rather than the story. Add another secret. Resolve some big lie/secret or mystery in a simple throw away line. Or tons of exposition without any character speaking openly and honestly to each other. It's repeat after repeat of " I'm gonna tell you something but you can't tell anyone else.". Very basic story that builds suspense without resolving anything or characters experiencing much. And given the conspiracy theory rolled out by one character, they never expected the story to write another year
