This show has opened the mind of myself and close friends around me to the world of being a detective in the police department. Since I was a child I wanted to be a police officer. Seasons 1-7 were a collection of episodes that make you absolutely fall in love with the show and the characters within that show. These seasons are some of the best seasons of a show I’ve watched in my entire life. However… I’m rating it only 3 starts because of the 8th season. I grew fond of this show because of the connection and promotion of the NYPD and police officers in general. The 8th season completely bombs that in terms of forcing misappropriation upon the show in curated made up stories to turn the show into a political point aimed at its viewers. I loved this show because it was about police detectives solving crimes, because it was about a family of officers who come together for each other in the trials of their life. It humanizes the police officer into being one of us. Human beings. I’ve watched 3 episodes of the 8th season and I am appalled at how upside down they have turned. It is incredibly saddening that this show has taken a political turn to things that have no business being in a show about being a detective. It is a blatant slap to our faces, it is an embarrassment to the seasons 1-7, and it is heart wrenching to fans like me who just want to watch cops solve crimes and humanized. Seasons 1-7 10/10 highly recommended. Season 8 1/10. I would rate it a 0 if I could. Just such a bad taste in the mouth, and totally unwarranted.

Boring and repetitive. The story lacks the grand luster of typical AC games where you’re on a quest to hunt down an order that has brought hell to your family and to your name. Instead you find yourself running around trying to win the favor of local clans in England where you have to pledge yourself to a different clan, and then to a different clan, and then to a different clan, and then to a different clan, and then to a different clan, and then to a diff... you get the point. I’m disappointed in this game. I’m a big fan of Norse mythology and really hoped to see justice brought to the stories from Scandinavian old. Instead, Ubisoft delivered this bland and repetitive story that has absolutely nothing to do with anything Ubisoft has ever done and has left me with a bad aftertaste as the rockets and luster have flared off from this once great hit.
