How we are constricted by systems and traditions? How institutions are a failure in this very moment? That is a continuous question during the movie. From the fantasy of State-maket economy which every "free man" is capable to be "himself" through the obedience of self-destruction in a capitalist, communist and socialist world (every state is opressor because is not bassed in the individual itself, but in economic relations), to the reason and conscious of our lame existence as puppets, where freedom does not exist, just as fiction.
Joker is a reflection where we know that anarchy borns inside structures, as a result of the systemic abolition of human leaded by the dogma of "normativity": from family to religion, from state to every relationship. Do we need rules and values? do we need morals? do we need systemic hierarchy of who are insane and who is functional?
Symbolic violence is the main question here. How we are structured and created by systems, nor by ourselvesโฝ And how we deal with that is the true answer.
