This movie is very unrealistic as other reviewers said. However, this movie shows how family traditions and rituals sometimes do not make sense! Both families are doing things out of ritual, such as the broom jumping and the specific events in the weekend planning. The friends of the bride were sitting there talking about her and her soon-to-be husband. The groom's mom was a nightmare. So condescending and rude, and her son did nothing until it was too late. After 40 minutes in the movie, you might even wonder who is getting married because everybody wants to tell them what to do with THEIR wedding. These traditions, the strong push to please family, and all the things that people will bring into marriage can be the very thing to end it.
