I felt both enlightened and angry after watching. I was (I thought) knowledgeable about China's one child policy- but this film showed how woefully wrong i was. My take away was near the end was the government that can force a woman to have an abortion is the same government that can tell a woman she can. I cannot imagine life in Chinese in that period.
