At first I was hesitant to even start it. Everyone was saying that it is a slow read, and that made me pause. However, once I started, I found myself completely captivated. This could be because I’m a parallel reader (multiple books at a time). Depending on my mood I dive into more than one story. This was almost poetic. It wasn’t just the world building, but the inner-built of the MFC herself. It is true that we resonate with a book more if we find the characters relatable and somewhat similar to ourselves. Needles to say, I did not parallel read anything else while reading WTMH. So go in for the romance, but stay for the world and magic, the character development and complexity of the human soul!
