I didn't mind the movie.... however it was barely accurate to the games. If you've never interacted with the RE universe before i think it'd be a good watch, however as someone who has played all the games, the storyline was barely similar to the games and the characters were drastically different. Leon was practically useless the entire movie (which as a leon stan, i resented) Claire was just rude all the time and never even interacted with sherry ADA WASNT EVEN IN THE MOVIE AND NOR WAS CARLOS (speaking of carlos they casted Avan Jogia as leon WHEN HE WOULDVE BEEN PERFECT FOR CARLOS!) also the casting.... dont even get me started, it wouldve been better if Tom Hopper was chris instead of Robbie Amell. sherrys mom didnt know anything about what her husband was doing... like they made her dumb when shes a literal scientist in the game??? the zombies sucked, it was like they were humans just trying to scare you the entire time and not like rabbid monsters. the lickers were actually really well done though i will say i was impressed by the animation OMG THEY LOOKED SO COOL, but they were in the wrong place entirely. they never went below the city to the umbrella corp labs or even tried to get the cure. TLDR: is it game accurate? hardly. was it a good movie other than the inaccuracies? yes absolutely.
