Excellent interpretation of a great science fiction novel

Another terrific sci-fi series from Apple and it didn’t start that slowly at all compared, for example, with “Raised by Wolves” which btw, I also enjoyed! Mind you, let’s hope poor old Sam Neill isnae “potted heid” as some folk in Scotland might say ;-) Too many of these quasi-intellectual film critics are overly absorbed in trying to make themselves sound clever these days!

The acting and historical authenticity in this movie was terrific but crikey it could never be called a feel good movie. It made me feel very grateful to have been born in a small Scottish city in the fifties rather than in a tiny Irish or Scottish west coast village in the nineteen twenties!
