The book "Two Kinds of Truth" was realistic and was able to impress on my mind the fact that in the words of Michael Connelly is -- " The reality of the world is dark and horrifying." The novel starts with Bosch solving Esmerelda Tavares' cold case (inexplicable disappearance) and then the coming back of a thirty year old case of Dani Skyler ( sexually assaulted and brutally murdered by her rapist) where for the first time, his moral and official ethics are called into question. The main case, however, is none of the above mentioned, instead he goes undercover to trap and round up illegal pharmacies functioning under the Russian Bratva.
It could have had more elements of suspense. I am just speaking from my perspective and it cannot be generalized on all readers. I had fun and it was a mind opener; I am grateful for that.
