Glenda Jackson knocked this into the next country let alone the ballpark! Wow- it is a deeply felt performance that speaks to the loss of our pride and dignity through the banalities of aging - and especially dementia. If you are middle age and older this film isn’t merely “touching” - it’s a mind-jacking experience because we understand the terror of literally losing one’s mind and grasp of the actual day to day. No, this is a horror movie so real it makes any slasher film look silly and idiotic. It’s sad that a film about an older woman’s struggle with dementia and a 70 year old trauma plus the loss of a beloved sibling and a missing friend is related as a “touching” film. Respect people- respect!
