It’s a very elaborate and showy film, but the storyline is weak and disjointed. There’s not nearly the depth in the characters that we get in the original film, and there are way too many rather lackluster songs.

I saw this film when it first came out and have loved it ever so. It’s so totally romantic - I’m carried away every time!
