The voice acting is good and the framing of scenes with Asajj is enjoyable but ultimately the story is just a bit boring.
This novel explores only Dooku's life within the Jedi order (focusing majorly on Dooku as a padawan) and ends on him leaving the order. Which is great but it really just makes this story an "In The Life Of Average Jedi" narrative with a twist ending that you already know is coming.
The story of how Dooku goes from ex-jedi to amassing power enough to be able to instigate a civil war is really the more unique and presumably interesting part of his story and it is a shame that we miss out on it.
That said, Sifo-Dyas and Lene Kostana develop into quite interesting characters and there is a teeny, tiny smidge of dark side mystery and enticement if that is what you picked up this audiobook for.
This audiobook really isn't bad but it should be called 'Dooku: Jedi' rather than 'Dooku: Jedi Lost' ...but I may just be salty because it writes over the Darth Plagueis material which I was hoping to see revived as canon
