Couldn’t even get past the first 50 pages, maybe I should finish the book, however, it’s so bad I really couldn’t care less if it gets better. Starting off with the fact the mc talks about how he’s a Mexican American every something pages, but it never adds on to the story. The character seems white washed in my opinion, which is really disappointing. I thought the book was written by a white person at first with the way he talked about the character being Mexican like one of those #Representation!! books that white people (that are not Latino) make and then seek validation and praise for adding minority groups in their books but to my surprise a Latino man wrote this book⁉️Was very disappointed in my own community for this one, but moving on, I thought the book was just written poorly overall. The dialogue was super cringey, I had to stop every few minutes because I got too much second hand embarrassment. I was trying to remember what this writing style reminds me of and then I figured it out, a wattpad writer. I’ve read aot smut better written than this. This is honestly the main reason I hated the book, but if you like books written like this, then I recommend reading wattpad stories. Personally this book is more of a let down than my parents, but at least the cover is pretty🥲
