I was somewhat disappointed in the film. Maybe my expectations were too high. I felt too much time was spent on his relationship with Josephine and more attention should have devoted to his military career and battles. No mention of his Italian campaign or battle of Jenna for example. There was no mention of his various generals and their contributions to Napoleon’s success. In particular General Davout. In addition, in the Battle of Waterloo scenes I felt it was too rushed and lacked significant facts. For example, the battle just before Waterloo ( Quatra Bras) with Ney’s golden opportunity to defeat Wellington and he failed while Napoleon was inflicting a heavy blow to Blucher. Personally if Davout and not Ney was there outcome would have been different. Or no mention in the movie of Napoleon telling Grouchy to take 30,000 of his army and follow Blucher and not allow him to merge with Wellington. Also it was not Napoleon who gave the order for the cavalry to attack without infantry support but Ney’s. Again if Davout of Murat were there things would have been different
