Ramy is immensely powerful. It documents the extremely diverse Arab American culture; our experiences, backstories, clashes - every complex, nuanced, even hilarious element of our daily lives and struggles. From simple thematic schemes such as trying to do the right thing and navigating everyday relationships to exploring the deeper meaning of piety and cultural continuity, this show has it all. I see myself in each and every character. Not just myself, but my parents, siblings, cousins, friends..I can't recommend this show enough.

They had an entire episode about Israel and its "historic and ancient history", completely failing to mention the stolen land, refugees, apartheid etc Palestinians are subjected to every day. The entire episode featured mansions in Tel Aviv and framed Arab culture and artifacts as Israel's. Seriously such a disappointing episode. The reality is why would they want to visit the West Bank? all the mansions there were either demolished or forced sells of Palestinians to the Israeli government. Shame on Netflix for perpetuating apartheid.
