While visually stunning the game doesn't have a lot of content and actually feels like a small step back from the original forest.
There's a learning curve on figuring out how to build structures, but outside of that most of your in game content is traveling long distances from place to place and picking up the odd book or note... which isn't very satisfying when even most of the notes are heavily redacted or nonsensical.
Weapon upgrades, when they are available as attachments, feels bad. All of the story was a very short burst at the end, and while its more "sci-fy" content was an interesting twist your two big cinematics being lumped together in the very last 1hr of gameplay isn't satisfying for all of the time that you pour into the game to get there.
Without getting into spoilers there's also really weird scene skips where you move from one location to another with no explanation or sense as to how any of it happened?
Weapons - Alright
Armor - Frustrating
Combat Mechanics - Feels Good
Story - Bad
Building - Mildly Frustrating, and tedious
