I quite liked Amandaland. I first watched Motherland, and of course, Amandaland a spin-off. I found Amanda to be an entertaining character, with this series showing the vulnerable side of Amanda - 3 GCSEs and wanting her daughter to aspire to more - just one example of a woman who puts on her face each day when really she's quite vulnerable. I know lots of women with aspects of Amanda in them. Anne I thought was quite funny. I thought the Oirish stereotypes laid on a bit thick with Anne "That's Pat, and Pat, and Uncle Pat" to poor Georgia, dating Anne's lump of a son Darius. But very funny, and, relatable for lots of people.

I'd heard of and seen snippets of this iconic movie, but never watched it. I am familiar with John Simms and seen him in lots of other tv series and movies. My husband and I, home on a Saturday night, having some dinner, I scrolled through BBC media player movies, and saw this and my hubby said "this is a really cool movie, have you watched it? Give it a go for 20 minutes, see what you think..." I was hooked! Totally identified with some scenes, felt like I knew some of the characters. Totally emulates the scene at that time. Well done, a moden British masterpiece of cinema!

Excellent! Very gripping pyschological thriller, with layers of story- lines and amazing acting. Loved it, really first class TV.
