Not gonna lie, I feel like I got duped. Every UK game channel glazed this game for weeks, and they were objectively full of shit. This is a bare bones, open world knockoff that lacks most of what makes Metro or Fallout work. Minimal weapons, minimal upgrading, no armor or gear. No leveling system, just a skill tree based on part on random chest discovery. The combat system? Just watch a video of someone using the bow. Is it pretty? Ya. Is it 60$ pretty? No. This game wants to be a survival game without most of the basic survival game mechanics. It wants to be a narrative, open world game without putting in the work to build the world. It wants to be a horror adjacent game, but they forgot to build story or characters to match. So on and so forth. I'm glad the smaller chunks of Britain and it's folk lore got recognition in a game, though. Congrats. I should've waited until Atomfall is 80% off. It won't be too long.
