The theme itself is very suggestive of an incurable illness and one canโt help but feel very sorry for the daughter who was abandoned by her mother at the young age of 8. Meeting her again after 35 years, one can feel the yearning she had mixed with pain and anger. As the story unfolds one gets more and more saddened by the circumstances the two main characters are in. There is this deep depressing tone that grew deeper and deeper as the story unfolds.
