Overall the first two episodes are ok, interesting window into life 200 years ago. I question why they had to introduce a love story between Ignazio and Giuseppina and also why is Giuseppina so heavily darkened ? Is this to comply with some Anglo Saxon beliefs that views southern Italians as coloured people? In my opinion both choices don’t add anything to a story that is true and amazing as it is. I suggest that if you are looking for the factual story go to the RAI documentary on the Florio
