This season was to focused on the new host and her farm experience. This did not always let the bakers shine due to the savory (not sweet) aspect of so many of her challenges. Just watched the cheese and wine challenge and I felt the frustration of every baker trying to make a delicious spring dessert. The lack of time for baking using such odd pairings also made it uncomfortable to watch. For the first time, I also was put off by Duff (who I adore) critiquing their decorating when the challenges were so odd and difficult. The show just seemed off kilter this year.
