Mr Somvanshi

The latest movie I saw was a pathetic attempt at capitalising on market trends. The plot was disgusting and its only aim appeared to be to make money. It was a soulless, soulless affair, relying on shock value rather than genuine emotion to drive the narrative. The characters were caricatures, the dialogue insipid, and the cinematography was uninspired. It was a tragedy that such a dreary, mawkish film was allowed to be released. I cannot recommend it to anyone and I hope that it serves as a warning to filmmakers that marketing alone cannot save a film with such a pathetic plot.
