Forget the negative feedback. This low key thriller triggered all my alarm bells. Like the main character, I had trouble telling the bad guys from the good until the movie was well advanced. I don't know how they filmed the weightless scenes, but they were convincing. And the ending is as mysterious as the movie, which is perfect.

I've read most of the Tony and Anne Hillerman novels, and am disappointed to find that the characters in the new TV drama "Dark Winds" are nothing like in the books. Joe Leaphorn, Bernie Manuelito, Jim Chee and others have been jazzed up to the point where I almost don't recognize them. They don't look "right" and they sure don't act right. There must have been a better way to preserve the personalities of these much-loved characters without re-making them for TV. I'm enjoying the Southwestern scenery, but for character development, stick with the books.
