Is it just me? I found the characters flat without any of that magical spirit that this movie required. It was beautiful to look at . Obviously a lot of money was spent, but for me, it lacked any genuine emotion-most importantly, joy.

I looked forward to this film as someone who grew up in the time frame these events occurred, and as a race fan. I thoroughly enjoyed it simply because it’s a great movie. Great performances, great story, great period piece. You won’t be disappointed.
