It is really underrated in audiences opinion. Mostly the fans of LOTR books & trilogy are angry about the details and twists of the story.
It is true that some story expansions isn’t based on the original story but beside that the form and content of this series is awesome!
Maybe it was too soon for expanding the baseline story; when there is a lot to tell and produce based on original line.
I assumed that I know noting about the LOTR and watched a 10/10 show.
