As a few others have touched on, the pacing of the series is doing the novel disservice. It speeds past important aspects of the novel and abandons incredible details and storytelling that truly engrosses the watcher. With that being said, that is the only negative critique to offer. The series (so far) is beautiful, and I truly feel thankful that we get to see this novel brought back to the forefront again for a new generation. If you watch the series, and find that you've enjoyed it, I highly implore you to read the novel afterwards. You will not be disappointed.
