Ultimately, a lack of information about the creature makes the movie hard to put into context of what modern science tells us so far. It offers a hypothesis that it might be some product of an ancient denizen of the prehistoric past warmed by climate change, but the appearance of the creature itself is rather Cartoonish. I think this would be a good movie for 12 year olds.
