I was hoping for something a bit more balanced and objective. Matt Walsh playing the role of a confused but curious father "just asking questions", falls apart when he becomes visibly irritated during sections of the interviews and badgers the subjects into becoming defensive--unsurprisingly stalling the conversation into a cringing, unproductive mess.
If this had been approached as a genuine attempt at exploring questions of identity, human rights, and personal freedom, this may have been a bigger hit for the masses and an opportunity to spotlight a reasonable approach to the ongoing debate. As it stands, we get a smug Matt Walsh, looking annoyed and entertaining people who already agree with him.
