‘Jesus Christ’ to quote the eloquent 2 rows behind us as the movie comes to an end. I couldn’t have phrased it better myself. Had it ended at an earlier scene I shan’t describe to avoid spoiling this god awful movie for you, it could have been terrific. Unfortunately though it persists to bludgeon you over the head with its message, which becomes diminished in the act. And quite oxymoronically goes totally off script and into irrelevant homages to horror movies towards the end. Acting was amazing. Props and scenes stunning. Cinematography a master piece. Gore porn far too gory, it detracted from the point of the movie. Sound engineering just wanted to give you a heart attack as opposed to building tension or helping you connect with the emotions on screen. And the writing went right off the page at the end there.
