Hnic used to be a Canadian institution. I remember my father telling me about people all gathering in the one house that had a television in very rural Cape Breton in the 1960's to watch hockey on Saturday night. Hnic used to be a warm nostalgic hug in a cold Canadian winter that united us, we knew all across this country, we were watching, together. No more. RIP Hnic. 4 for 4 . All Leafs , all the time.
