Intriguing access to process by which a successor Pope is selected lends curiosity to an otherwise routine drama. The conclusion perhaps means to be profound but is only a ludicrous "twist" obviously and cynically designed to profit from a heavy-handed woke message.

more of a euro than american feel to this film, in its pace, its length, and understated performances. yet, one needs the whole of the film fully to understand the reserved character portrayed by Damon, and to feel what he must have fekt at its end.

Except that it’s in color, could be one of those propaganda-style movies made during WW2 starring John Wayne. Despite being set in WW2, amazingly no story line. Just one jungle battle after another with Marines killing hundreds of Japanese for each USA soldier lost with the usual cast of stereotypes, swearing and saying offensive things about the enemy. Truly a complete waste of time
