Mafia: The Old Country was a brilliant game in my opinion. I think this game shows the reality of the mafia, the cruelty of it rather than glorifying it like maybe the previous titles did.
In the previous titles I feel like the protagonists always betrayed the family for stupid reasons but in this one the protagonist does it for a valid reason.
The graphics we're absolutely insane aswell as the acting, these aspects immersed me into the world unlike alot of other games. The music was fantastic, it made me feel like I was in Sicily and it made the game seem even more beautiful somehow.
I enjoyed the gameplay despite other reviews saying it was linear. I liked how difficult it was to aim, making the shooting scenes more realistic and tense.
My only gripe is that it was a little confusing as to when I was allowed to explore, they maybe could have made a character come up to you and tell you to explore and give us verbal confirmation. I also think they could have added a few more things to do around the map when exploring.
Other than that I think it was a fantastic game all around and it was my personal favourite of the franchise. I would definitely recommend this game to people who love an epic, immersive and beautiful story.
